Friday, 9th October 2015, 1pm-5pm
Kanaris Lecture Theatre at the Manchester Museum

Manchester Girl Geeks and ScienceGrrl, who both run workshops and events to engage people with science, are looking for early career researchers, and anyone working in/studying science, technology, engineering or related subjects to join our team of speakers.

We’re running a free half-day training event on Friday 9th October, with training from maths communicator Katie Steckles on speaking skills, confidence, and planning and running activities. There’ll also be free coffee and cake, provided by the University of Manchester’s PG training department.

Following on from the training you will have a chance to volunteer and speak our next event in October. As part of Manchester Science Festival we will be holding a Girl Geek Dinner: What Has Science Done For Me? Details of this can be found at: whathassciencedoneforme.eventbrite.co.uk.
