Girl Geek Friendly Events – Ada Lovelace Day 2015

In the interest of staying tuned in to what’s happening in the geek community, we’ll be posting details of upcoming local events that our members will be at, and recommending events for other girl geeks to attend. If you’re thinking of coming, please comment on this page – then we can know who’ll be there, and you can find other friendly faces!

Celebrating 200 years of women in tech

Venue: Auto Trader, First Street
Time: Tuesday, October 20th, 6pm

Ladies Who Code Manchester are running an extra special Ada Lovelace celebration on October 20th.

Ada Lovelace was a mathematician who is often referred to as ‘the first computer programmer’. She helped shape technology in the 19th century and is regarded as one of the figureheads in the history of computer.

Join Ladies Who Code Manchester at the AutoTrader offices on October 20th. We’re bringing together women from across Manchester and the North West to share stories and celebrate our successes with a series of lightning talks followed by networking.
